What is the
difference between NEW and "Intelligent Choice" products ?
NEW StorageWorks products from HP are "un-opened box", resold by IPD. They
carry the standard HP Warranty. "Intelligent Choice" products are
either Unused "open box", Used, or Refurbished product. These products
carry a Full 1 Year Warranty, with extended warranty options. All products are 100% guaranteed form, fit and functionally
compatible with HP StorageWorks and your desired operating system and are
eligible for maintenance. Availability of
"Intelligent Choice" StorageWorks products are priced significantly less than
New
StorageWorks products and are generally more readily available later in a
products marketing life cycle.
Your project's budget, performance
requirements, and vendor requirements all come into play when making a new
versus reconditioned computer hardware decision. The following is a guide to
help you consider the positives and negatives of both.

When does HP maintain or
install my purchase ?
Whenever you purchase a NEW StorageWorks product from us, HP will install and maintain
that product, if you choose, according to their service agreement for that
product. We often get involved to expedite the installation or Advanced
Exchange of HP products and of course, "Intelligent Choice"
products.
All you need to track is the Serial Number of the product you purchased !
